Heather was deeply involved with her community, building strong relationships through volunteerism, giving, and committee and board participation while networking with other foundations. She focused her work on ways to lift people up and over life’s hurdles. Her remarkable legacy continues through her family, the foundation and the many she’s helped throughout her remarkable life.
The John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital was Heather’s joy, with its focus not only on cutting edge medical treatment, but on it’s work healing the whole child, bringing light into the darkest times for a family.
Heather whole-heartedly supported the BISON Children’s Scholarship Fund whose mission is broadening educational opportunities for children of low-income families.
Heather’s love of the arts supports the Albright-Knox Gallery in their robust education programs and mission to bring art to the whole community, not just the privileged few.
The OSC Charitable Foundation will continue to connect people with experiences and opportunities that contribute to a better life for themselves and their families. We are committed to continuing Heather’s work and fulfilling Mother Teresa’s directive to “Find Your Own Calcutta”, working to improve Western New York through health, education, the arts and opportunities to empower and build our communities.
