Walking the Red Carpet for Shea’s Next Century

There was a red carpet at Shea’s—but this time, it wasn’t just for the stars.

It was for a legacy.

Jon M. Williams recently stood alongside the Shea’s community to celebrate a milestone in the Elevate Shea’s expansion, carrying with him the spirit and mission of his late wife, Heather A. Williams, founder of the OSC Charitable Foundation. Heather believed deeply in supporting the arts and helping those in need, and her commitment to Buffalo’s cultural life continues through the Foundation.

In her honor, Jon pledged to match up to $250,000 in gifts to the I Built Shea’s movement.

“Shea’s is Buffalo, and Buffalo is worth building,” Jon said.

As Shea’s begins building its next century, the red carpet feels especially fitting: a symbol of celebration, possibility and the belief that everyone deserves a place in the audience—and a future worth stepping into.

Heather’s legacy continues to help make that future possible.
